Nature Crafts for Aussie Kids is the first of my nature craft books, published in 2014.  It contains 15 fun craft activities ranging from wattle crowns to seedpod aliens.  The second half of the book contains information on Australian native plants which are useful for crafting.

Over 3,000 copies sold Australia-wide.  It’s a perfect resource for libraries, schools, child care centres and families.

“A must for children, parents, grandparents and teachers.”

Sophie Thomson, Author and Presenter, Gardening Australia, ABC TV.

Published in 2017, Nature Crafts with Common Plants contains imaginative nature crafts using natural materials found around the world.   The second half of the book contains information on the plants used, and most are commonly found street trees.  With its strong focus on sustainability, this is a great resource for environmental educators and families worldwide.

“…fantastic full colour photographs showing examples of completed artworks are inspiring.  They make you want to race outside, collect some plant materials, string and glue and get busy!”  Botanical Bookshop, Canberra

“…great for parents who want their children to connect with nature.” Gardening Australia Magazine

nature-crafts-aussie-kids-book-launchNature Crafts for Aussie Kids was launched at a Community Gardening conference in Hobart, Tasmania in 2014, and has made its way into homes, classrooms and libraries across Australia.

Both nature craft books are self-published.  They were designed and printed in my hometown of Adelaide by the fabulous Openbook Howden Print & Design.
